Clear / Invisible Aligners

Clear aligners are virtually invisible removable orthodontic appliances that progressively reposition teeth using a series of custom-fabricated, computer-designed trays. Each tray moves teeth a fraction of a millimetre — together producing dramatic alignment improvement without brackets, wires, or the aesthetic impact of traditional braces.

We offer three aligner tiers based on case complexity, and Invisalign per jaw for patients specifically requesting the Invisalign brand:

Metal Braces

Traditional metal braces remain the most versatile and powerful orthodontic tool — capable of correcting complex malocclusions that aligners cannot address. Our orthodontist places precision brackets and wires that apply controlled, continuous forces to achieve predictable tooth movement. Regular adjustment appointments every 4–6 weeks.

Retainers — Protecting Your Investment

Retainers are essential after any orthodontic treatment to prevent relapse. We offer fixed lingual retainers (bonded behind the teeth — invisible and maintenance-free), removable clear retainers, and Hawley retainers. Retainer replacement, rebonding of loose fixed retainers, and crown rebonding are all available as separate appointments.

Treatment time depends on case complexity. Mild cases (8+8 aligners) take 9–12 months. Moderate cases (16+16 aligners) take 12–16 months. Comprehensive unlimited-aligner cases may take 18+ months. Our orthodontist provides an accurate timeline after clinical assessment and digital scan.

For mild to moderate cases, clear aligners achieve equivalent results to braces. Complex cases — significant bite correction, severe crowding, or certain rotations — may require braces for full correction. Our orthodontist will honestly recommend the most appropriate system for your specific case.

Aligners must be worn 20–22 hours per day for maximum effectiveness — removing only for eating, drinking (anything other than water), and oral hygiene. Night-time wear is essential. Compliance directly determines treatment speed and outcome quality.

Teeth will relapse toward their original positions — sometimes significantly — within months to years of completing orthodontic treatment. This is a biological fact related to the periodontal ligament's memory. Permanent fixed retainers eliminate this risk. Removable retainers must be worn every night indefinitely.
